Nadi or Denarau Marina
You'll cover the Yasawa Gateway Region, the Blue Lagoon Region, the Mantaray Region, and South Sea Island in the Mamanucas, all connected by scheduled Yasawa Flyer transfers that are already sorted for you.
Two nights in the Mantaray Region means two shots at the manta ray swim, one of the few places in the world where you can reliably get in the water with them.
At the Yasawa Gateway Region you'll get a guided snorkel with reef sharks at either Barefoot Kuata or Octopus Resort. They're docile, your guide is with you the whole time, and it's genuinely one of the most talked-about moments of the trip.
Accommodation is subject to availability at the time of booking and will be confirmed by the reservations team. You'll be placed in one of the listed resorts in each region depending on what's available. Specific resort allocation is not guaranteed in advance.
Meals are compulsory at each resort and must be paid directly on arrival (there are no alternative dining options on the islands). Meal plans cannot be pre-purchased. Dietary requirements must be flagged at the time of booking.
Coach transfers must be booked in advance. There is only one return coach to Wailoaloa and Nadi Airport, departing Denarau at approximately 6:15pm. Be at your pick-up point at least 10 minutes early. Missing the coach means getting yourself to Port Denarau at your own expense.
The Malamala Beach Club day should be pre-booked to secure your preferred date. The South Sea Cruises vessel departs Port Denarau at 8:45am.
Sunday is a rest day in the Yasawas. Guided activities are not available on Sundays, though you're welcome to join local church services (genuinely worth it).
Board the Yasawa Flyer from Port Denarau and cruise north to the Yasawa Gateway Region, arriving mid-morning. You'll stay at either Octopus Resort or Barefoot Kuata Island Resort. Depending on your resort and the day of the week, your first activity is a guided night snorkel or a guided mountain hike (Octopus), or a guided snorkel with reef sharks or a marine biology tour (Barefoot Kuata).
Board the Yasawa Flyer late morning and head up to the Blue Lagoon Region for two nights. You'll be at either Blue Lagoon Beach Resort or Boathouse Nanuya / Nanuya Island Resort. Today is a free day to settle in, swim, and get your bearings.
Still in the Blue Lagoon Region. Today you visit the Sawa-I-Lau Caves, where a short underwater swim takes you through to a surreal underground cavern. The caves trip runs most days (check your specific resort's schedule).
A morning snorkel, then transfer to the Mantaray Region for two nights at either Mantaray Island Resort or Barefoot Manta Island Resort. This afternoon you have your first activity here: a Sunset Tube Cruise or Guided Village Visit (Mantaray), or a Marine Biology Tour including coral talk, coral planting and a guided snorkel (Barefoot Manta).
Still in the Mantaray Region. From May to October, today's activity is the swim with manta rays. Outside of those months, you'll join a guided snorkelling trip or a village visit instead. Both resorts offer this experience, so either way you're sorted.
A free morning at your Mantaray Region resort, then board the Yasawa Flyer mid-afternoon and head back to the Yasawa Gateway Region for two more nights. Same resort options as Day 1. Today is free to relax and explore.
Your second day in the Gateway Region and this is the one people talk about the most. At Barefoot Kuata, it's a guided snorkel with reef sharks or a marine biology tour. At Octopus Resort, you can do a guided night snorkel (Tue and Sat) or a guided mountain hike (Mon, Wed and Fri). Make sure you also do the sunset hike while you're here.
One last free morning at your resort before boarding the Yasawa Flyer in the late afternoon back to Port Denarau. Complimentary coach transfer back to your Nadi, Denarau or Wailoaloa accommodation.
The Yasawa Flyer departs Port Denarau Marina daily at 8:30am. Complimentary coach transfers to Port Denarau are provided from most hotels and resorts in Nadi, Denarau and Wailoaloa Bay, as well as from Nadi Airport. These must be booked in advance.
On return, there is one coach back to Wailoaloa area hotels and Nadi Airport, departing Denarau at approximately 6:15pm. Be at your pick-up point at least 10 minutes before your scheduled time.
Full pick-up point and timetable details are available on the Yasawa Adventures Fiji website.
Meals are not included in this package and must be paid directly to each resort in Fiji, in Fijian dollars. Meal plans are compulsory (there are no other dining options on the islands) and cannot be pre-purchased. Rates are set by each resort and are subject to change.
Your meal plan starts from arrival at your first resort (typically lunch on Day 1). On departure days from each resort, breakfast only is included. If your transfer departs after lunch and you want lunch, that's at your own cost.
If you need somewhere to stay when you first land in Fiji, check out our Bula Welcome Pack for your first night sorted. And when it's time to head home, the Departure Pack gives you two days and one night to wrap things up properly.
