The Barron River is perfect for anyone who has never tried White Water Rafting or those looking for an afternoon of fun and excitement. Your guide will take you on an eco-adventure through the Barron Gorge National Park aboard your 8 person inflatable raft, tackling grade 2 and 3 rapids including the infamous Rooster Tail where an action photo will be taken. Plus you’ll get a chance to try raft surfing (dependent on water levels) and to cool off with a swim in Lake Placid.
Cairns - Depart 2pm for the 30 minute drive up the Barron Gorge Valley
Top Of the River - Gear-up with life jackets, helmets and paddles
Raft - From just below Barron River Power Station down a series of grade 2 and 3 rapids
Paddle - From the last rapid paddle the short distance to Lake Placid
Relax - Arrive at our afternoon tea location for a coffee or tea, and to view photos of the day’s action, return to Cairns approx 6.00pm
Departs Cairns & Northern Beaches daily at 2pm.
Returns Approx 6.00pm.

Traveling before 31/03/17 - AU$25 for insurance charges, land management agency prescribed daily client fee, water release fees, transfer costs, GST and administration charges is payable on the day of travel.
Traveling after 31/03/17 - AU$30 for insurance charges, land management agency prescribed daily client fee, water release fees, transfer costs, GST and administration charges is payable on the day of travel.
