Itinerary

Day 1: one-hour camel ride

Free transfers begin from outside your hotel reception 30 minutes prior to your tour departure. Travel via minibus to Pyndan Camel Tracks is approximately 20 minutes. The camel ride starts at the Pyndan Camel Tracks yards and goes into White Gums Station. The track follows an avenue of Iron Bark and Mulga trees, across a claypan flat, and climbs a slight incline to get sweeping views across the MacDonnell Ranges through to Temple Bar Gap. If you want, our cameleer will take your photo from here, chat and answer questions. Almost daily we see kangaroos and wallabies, many birds including budgies and birds of prey, and often lizards. The ride is relaxed and gives you the time to get to know your camel and listen to the sounds of the outback. Back at the farm, you have time to caress your camel, take a selfie and find out more information about camels and life on an outback camel farm. Return to your hotel is approximately 45 minutes after the end of the tour.
