Itinerary

Day 1 : Yulara/Kata Tjuta/Uluru (Ayers Rock)

This afternoon visit the 36 red rock domes of Kata Tjuta (The Olgas), getting up close to this ancient geological formation. Get to know the domes, dunes and gullies on a walk through the Domes of Kata Tjuta. We make our way to Uluru as the sun sets; watch the colours of Uluru change. The perfect end to a remarkable day is awaiting you back at camp, as you enjoy a delicious spread of food with your group. If the weather permits, sit outside under the stars. Accommodation: Permanent safari camp (with shared facilities)

Day 2 : Uluru Sunrise

An early start today is rewarded with an Uluru sunrise. While the morning is fresh, enjoy a walk around the base of Uluru. After your stroll, we walk to the cave paintings near Mutitjulu Waterhole at the base of Uluru. You will be in the hands of an Anangu guide who will share the stories of this unique landscape and explain the Art, the Culture and connection to Land. The on-site Cultural Centre also houses an extensive collection of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander arts and crafts for you to browse. Perhaps purchase some art and craft of the First Peoples of Australia at the Uluru Cultural Centre before ending your tour at the Ayers Rock Resort. Notes: Please do not book a flight departing prior to 12:30pm

Pickups / Departures

Departs: 

Selected Tuesdays year round plus Saturdays from March 2022 and Thursdays April to September 2023. Joining point: Desert Gardens Hotel at Ayers Rock Resort or Airport (dependent on flight arrival time, confirm at time of booking).

Returns:

Tour finishes at the Desert Gardens Hotel at Ayers Rock Resort at approximately 12:00pm on the final tour day.

Pick Ups:

Pick up between 1-1.30pm from Desert Gardens, Outback Pioneer and Airport. If your flight arrives BEFORE 11:00am your guide will meet you at the front of the Desert Gardens hotel at 1:15pm (Outback Pioneer @ 1:20pm). The Free Yulara Airport Shuttle is available from the airport to the Desert Gardens Hotel. No bookings are required, just look for the regular shuttle in front of the airport once you have collected your luggage. If your flight arrives between 11:00am - 12:45pm please meet your Adventure Tours Australia guide at Yulara (Ayers Rock Airport) @ 1:00pm. Please do not book any flights arriving after 12:45pm as you will not be able to join trip.
