Sri Lanka Experience - Intro Travel

We’ll pick you up from Colombo airport and take you to your beachfront hotel in Negombo. You’ll then have plenty of time to recover from your long flight, chill out and meet everyone in your group.  

Discover the beachside town of Negombo by tuk-tuk and visit the famous local fish market, before heading north to the beautiful and sacred town of Dambulla. The next two nights we will stay in a unique and beautiful ‘glamping’ resort.

An amazing and diverse day starting with the iconic Rock Cave Temple followed by an authentic local village experience. We’ll cruise by boat and learn how to make delicious Sri Lankan food, before experiencing a stunning view of the famous Sigiriya Rock Fortress.

Today we’ll head south via a spice garden before arriving in the cultural centre of Sri Lanka – Kandy. We’ll visit the amazing Temple of the Tooth and wander around the beautiful lake and town of Kandy, before heading out for dinner and a few drinks.

We’ll continue south through stunning rolling green tea plantations, stopping to learn how to pick and make tea; Sri Lanka’s most famous export. We’ll make the short hike to a beautiful thundering waterfall before boarding the ‘world’s most scenic train’ to the town of Ella. Once we arrive we’ll head into town for dinner and a night out!

A free morning to relax and explore the beautiful little town of Ella, do some shopping or unwind with a traditional massage. We’ll then hike the stunning Little Adam’s Peak and enjoy the spectacular views. We’ll spend the rest of the day chilling out.

This morning we’ll visit the famous Nine Arches Bridge before heading south to the beautiful Udawalawe National Park where we’ll stay in unique riverside ‘glamping’ tents.

A truly unforgettable day as we travel by jeep and watch the sun rise over the amazing soaring highlands of the Udawalawe National Park; one of the world’s best places to spot herds of wild free roaming elephants, crocodiles and amazing bird life. That afternoon we’ll make our way to some stunning tropical beaches and finish the day watching the sunset and playing cricket with the locals.

After a relaxing morning on ‘Sri Lanka’s most beautiful beach’ we’ll continue along the coast and stop for a private surf lesson on the super friendly and relaxed Welligama Beach, before heading out for a few drinks and beach party!

Today we’ll explore the exotic world heritage town of Galle. A fascinating town of Dutch colonial buildings, ancient mosques, quirky cafes, boutiques and great shopping! After a tasty lunch we’ll have the truly special experience of visiting a Buddhist Monastery where we’ll spend time with the local monk students, learning their way of life and teaching them English.

A final morning to relax on the beach before we make our way back to the capital city, Colombo. We’ll check in to our funky boutique hotel and get ready to head out, explore the city, experience a beautiful sunset and have our final dinner and party together!
