Itinerary

Day 1: Tully River Rafting

1.00 pm - 1.45 pm Arrive at Tully and rendezvous with self-drivers, free time to grab a bite of lunch in Tully (own cost)
1.45 pm - 2.30 pm Travel to the top of the Tully Gorge and get fitted with rafting gear
2.30 pm - 3.00 pm Meet your River Guide who will give you a safety briefing and paddling instructions before it's time to hit the water!
3.00 pm - 6.00 pm Raft the world-renowned Tully River conquering awesome grade 3 & 4 rapids!
6.00 pm - 7.15 pm Arrive at the take-out point and change into dry clothes before the short journey to the Feluga Hotel, a traditional Queensland pub and the Tully home of Raging Thunder.
7.15 pm - 8.15 pm Enjoy a hearty pub dinner with your Guide and crew, view photos of your trip and compare river stories surrounded by a living history of epic rafting on the Tully River!
8.15 pm - Kick back and relax as we return you to your accommodation in Mission Beach (approx. 9.15 pm) or Cairns (10.00 pm). Self-drivers can depart the Feluga Hotel at their leisure.

Departs: Monday, Thursday and Saturday

Pickups: Approximate times - Cairns 10.00 am | Mission Beach: From 11.45 am | Tully 12.45 pm (self-drive to the Golden Gumboot - Corner Hort and Butler Streets, Tully ) 

Returns: Approximate times: Tully 7.00 pm* | Mission Beach 9.15 pm | Cairns 10.00 pm

What to Bring:

Swimwear and towel
Change of dry clothes
Baseball cap to wear under helmet (optional)
Secure footwear to wear in the raft such as sandshoes/adventure sandals
Waterproof sunscreen
Money for lunch, drinks and souvenir photos

Luggage Limit: 

1 x small day pack per person that will fit under the bus seat.

Dietary Requirements:

Gluten free, vegan and vegetarian are catered for.

Extra costs:

AU$30 per person rafting levy is payable on the day of travel

Optional photo purchase

Optional Close Rental:

  • Hire shoes are available for $5 per pair if people don't want their shoes to get wet
  • Thermal tops/dry tops can also be hired for $5 per person
