Day 1: Auckland to Rotorua
We depart Auckland and head south, travelling to Rotorua, the geothermal capital of New Zealand. Rotorua has a wide range of activities available, so there is something for everyone to do. From rolling down a hill in a giant rubber ball to Maori performances, Rotorua offers it all. That makes Rotorua the best place to stay for a couple of days. That way you can discover Rotorua to the fullest.
Day 2: Rotorua to Taupo
From the geothermal capital, you’ll be going to Taupo, a town which is known for the famous Tongariro Crossing. If that’s on your bucket list we do recommend to stay here for a little longer. Also, Taupo has a lot to offer. From a sailing cruise to a jetboat, everyone will find something they like. In Taupo, there is also a possibility to do a skydive, one of the best activities. On a good day, you can even see the West Coast and the East Coast!
Day 3: Taupo – Auckland
This day, you’ll be heading north again, back to the largest city in New Zealand. You will have time to explore Auckland a little bit further and enjoy what the city has to offer.
