Day 1: Auckland to Rotorua via Waitomo
We depart Auckland and head south, travelling to Rotorua via the Waitomo Glowworm Caves. You’ll have time to explore the Glowworm Caves by boat and enjoy these magnificent glowworms. Afterwards, you’ll be heading to Rotorua, the geothermal capital of New Zealand. Rotorua has a wide range of activities available, so there is something for everyone to do. From rolling down a hill in a giant rubber ball to Maori performances, Rotorua offers it all. That makes Rotorua the best place to stay for a couple of days. That way you can discover Rotorua to the fullest.
Day 2: Rotorua to Auckland via Hobbiton (additional)
In the morning, you’ll leave Rotorua behind and you'll be traveling back to Auckland via Hobbiton (Additional $68), which is the famous Lord of the Rings and The Hobbit movie set. This is an absolute ‘must do’ experience where you get to take a look ‘behind the scenes’.
