Day 1- Arrive in Cairns anytime/Overnight Cairns
Arrive in Cairns at any time and check into your central hostel where you'll be spending the next few days. Tonight, rest up - you've got a big couple of weeks ahead of you!
Day 2 - 1 Day Great Barrier Reef Cruise/Overnight Cairns
It's here. The day you've been waiting for. Today, you're heading out onto the big blue to explore the Great Barrier Reef. Today you get to explore 2 stunning reef sites; Upolu Cay and the 'Wonder Wall' on the Outer Edge of Upolu Reef. You're treated to 6 full hours exploring the reef with plenty of snorkelling and diving opportunities, awesome lunch and knowledgeable eco-guides.
Day 3 - 1 Day trip to Cape Tribulation & Daintree/Overnight Cairns
Spend the day visiting the Oldest living Rainforest in the world! This tour will show all of the highlights that the Daintree and Cape Tribulation have to offer, you will even get to dine on Cape Trib Beach. Meet with one of the Indigenous owners of Mossman Gorge and learn about local traditions all while soaking in there stunning views of the surrounding rainforest! This afternoon you'll return to Cairns where you'll spend the night
Day 4 - Bus to Townsville, ferry to Magnetic Island/Overnight Magnetic Island
Check out of your hostel and make your way to Townsville where you will meet up with the ferry that will take you to Magnetic Island for the next 2 days.
Day 5 - Magnetic Island - Free day
Today is yours free to explore. There's plenty to do on the island, but our personal favourite is to do nothing...kick back and relax. Once you soak in the views of the aqua water and swaying palm trees, you'll know exactly what we're talking about.
Day 6 - Ferry to Townsville, bus to Airlie Beach/Overnight Airlie Beach
Check out of your hostel and board your ferry back to Townsville where you will continue onto Airlie Beach. Check into your hostel where you'll be staying for the next week and then head out to explore.
Day 7 - 2 day/2 Night Whitsundays Sailing Adventure
This tour offers time to explore the islands, including time to relax at the magnificent Whitehaven Beach, walk to famous Hill Inlet Lookout and experience two snorkelling stops on the fringing coral reefs which extend right from the edge of the islands. This itinerary will cover around 100kms around the islands and is achieved in this time due to the sailing performance and ability of your Maxi Yacht to sail faster than other charter yachts can go, even when they use a motor, which is also really friendly for the environment as we use wind power. You'll be fed well with afternoon tea, pre-dinner snacks and dinner today. Bring Your Own alcohol so long as it's not glass. Spend your first night of fun under the stars of the Southern Hemisphere.

Day 8 - 2 day/2 Night Whitsundays Sailing Adventure
Not only will you visit the famous Whitehaven Beach on this trip but you will also get to the Northern end of the Whitsundays where the best fringing coral reefs in the Whitsundays are found - namely Langford Reef and Mantaray Bay. For guests who want to be involved, help the crew set the sails, have a turn on the wheel and get some amazing sailing photos. The Captain and crew will provide you with plenty of information on the Whitsunday Islands and the Marine Park. Meals today include breakfast, morning tea, lunch, afternoon tea, pre-dinner snack AND dinner. Are you full yet?

Day 9 - 2 day/2 Night Whitsundays Sailing Adventure - Overnight Airlie Beach
Wake up on your final morning to that clear sea air before it's time for more thrilling sailing back to Airlie Beach. Pass along the western coast of Whitsunday Island, through Hook Passage and follow the eastern coast of Hook Island, passing the Molle Islands allowing you further opportunity for snorkelling and swimming. Arrive back to Airlie Beach at approximately 11am.

Day 10 - Overnight bus to Rainbow Beach
Check out of your hostel and stock up on snacks - tonight you've got an overnight bus to Rainbow Beach.
Day 11 - Arrive Rainbow Beach/Overnight Rainbow Beach
This morning is yours to explore! Why not catch the morning sun over Carlo Sand Blow? Soak in the views and kick back and relax; you've got a couple of big days to come!
Day 12 - Safety briefing/Overnight Rainbow Beach
This afternoon, you will attend your compulsory safety briefing to prepare you for your next couple of days driving 4x4s across stunning Fraser Island!
Day 13 - 3 day/2 Night Fraser Island 4WD camping tour
Rise and shine, at 9.30am you depart for Fraser Island! Drive approx 10 minutes to the barge (ferry) and board for your 10-minute barge crossing. Once you have arrived on the world's biggest sand island, you then drive for 1 hour to the Eurong resort along 75 Mile beach - Fraser Island's own highway with speed limits! From here is when the big adventure begins as you drive to the famous Lake McKenzie - arguably the most popular and picturesque highlight of Fraser! Here, stop for some lunch, and for some quality time to have a play in the amazingly clear waters with your new found friends! Around 3pm you drive up the beach to your campsite, for an early dinner and some well-deserved drinks and fun!
Day 14 - 3 day/2 Night Fraser Island 4WD camping tour
Get up in the morning for a quick breakfast before you begin your busiest day on Fraser Island. First, head off to see Eli Creek, a beautifully clear creek perfect for a relaxing swim. Travelling north you then stop at Maheno shipwreck for some photos and short history lesson about this famous Fraser Island icon. Shortly after, travel up to Indian Head, Fraser Island's highest point. From here you may be lucky enough to see whales and sharks in the ocean before you travel to Champagne pools for a dip! In the afternoon, travel back to camp for dinner and drinks.
Day 15 - 3 day/2 Night Fraser Island 4WD camping tour/Overnight Rainbow Beach
Start with breakfast, then drive to the beginning of the Lake Wabby walk, where you walk through the sand dunes to this tropical paradise! Lunch follows your trip to Lake Wabby before you begin your drive down the beach heading back to the barge. Once back on the mainland, head back to the 4WD shed where you unpack and quickly clean the cars. Tonight, enjoy a well-deserved rest in Rainbow Beach before checking out in the morning.
Day 16 - Bus to Noosa/Overnight Noosa
Wave goodbye to Rainbow Beach and hello to the darling of the Sunshine Coast, Noosa! Check into your hostel for 2 nights then treat yourself to a drink at one of the many cafes that boast stunning coastal views. The best way to experience Noosa is to kick back and go with the flow. We're talking lazy afternoon drinks, sunset beach walking and all the other good stuff.
Day 17 - Free day - Noosa
Take a stroll along the waterfront, opt for an Everglades tour or simply wander through the shops, stuffed full of charm. Today is yours to explore!
Day 18 - Bus to Surfers Paradise/Overnight Surfers Paradise
Wave goodbye to Noosa as today you make your way to Surfers Paradise on the stunning Gold Coast. Check into your central hostel for 2 nights before heading out to explore the town. We're talking stunning beaches, towering skyscrapers and some of the country's best nightlife.
Day 19 - Free day - Surfers Paradise
Today you have a full day to explore Surfers. This could be your perfect opportunity to hit the waves and put your newfound surfing skills to the test. Otherwise, there are heaps of local shops to explore, secluded spots to work on your tan or hipster cafes with the best views in town.
Day 20 - Bus to Byron Bay/Overnight Byron Bay
This morning you'll arrive in the iconic coastal town of Byron Bay. Check into your hostel where you'll be spending 2 nights and then head out to explore! Tonight, why not hit the town? Cheeky Monkeys is the must do.
Day 21 - Surf Lesson / Overnight Byron Bay
This morning you'll learn how to surf from the pros- all while having the stunning Byron Bay coastal scenery as your backdrop! Tonight, why not hit the town? Cheeky Monkeys is a must do.
Day 22 - Dolphin Kayak / Overnight in Byron Bay
This 3 hour guided tour is the perfect Byron Bay experience. Our marine park is home to dolphins, turtles and whales so keep your eyes peeled as you join our team of surf lifesavers for an unforgettable paddle to Australia's most easterly point.
Day 23 - Free Day /Overnight bus to Sydney
Today is your last chance to soak in all the goodness of Byron Bay. Tonight, pack your stuff because you're off on an overnight bus to Sydney.
Day 24 - Free day - Sydney
This morning you'll check into your hostel then head out to explore. Of course, your first stop is the Sydney Opera House and Darling Harbour, but don't forget about iconic Bondi Beach, an abundance of museums, the stunning views from the Rocks and way more. Optional tours include a trip to Taronga Zoo, or be a bit greedy and pick up one of our iVenture cards to do the lot.
Day 25 - 1 Day Blue Mountains Tour/Overnight Sydney
Today you'll be escaping the hustle and bustle of Sydney city and exploring some iconic Australian scenery. Combine a visit to an award-winning wildlife park with koalas and kangaroos, a relaxing lunch, fun guides and you have a memorable day out with amazing photos. Today you'll visit the Blue Mountains National Park, the Featherdale Wildlife Park, enjoy stunning views of the Three Sisters and relax over a picnic style lunch, stuffed full of local produce.
Day 26 - Free day - Sydney
Today you've got a whole day and night to explore what Sydney has to offer. Trust us - it's a lot!
Day 27 - Overnight bus from Sydney to Melbourne
Spend a lazy morning around the city and pack your bags because tonight you're heading off on an overnight bus to Melbourne.
Day 28 - Arrive Melbourne, trip ends
This morning you'll arrive in the cultural capital of Australia where your trip will officially end. Don't cry - there's heaps more of Australia to explore still.
