Day 1- Overnight bus from Sydney to Byron Bay
Of course, your first stop is the Sydney Opera House and Darling Harbour, but don't forget about iconic Bondi Beach, an abundance of museums, the stunning views from the Rocks and way more. Tonight, make your way to Byron Bay!
Day 2 - Dolphin Kayak / Overnight in Byron Bay
This 3 hour guided tour is the perfect Byron Bay experience. Our marine park is home to dolphins, turtles and whales so keep your eyes peeled as you join our team of surf lifesavers for an unforgettable paddle to Australia's most easterly point
Day 3 - Surf Lesson/Overnight Byron Bay
This morning you get a real local experience - learn to surf with the stunning Byron Bay coast as your backdrop.
Day 4 - Nimbin Day trip/Overnight Byron Bay
Today you're off for a real local experience - hippy central Nimbin. This tour is all about venturing into village vibes so bring out the hippie colours to explore Nimbin and the incredible surrounding Byron Bay hinterland. Spend the morning meeting dreadlocked locals and exploring the colourful street before a fun-filled afternoon of waterfall hopping. This afternoon, head back to Byron Bay for a well-deserved beer on the beach.
Day 5 - Bus to Surfers Paradise/Overnight Surfers Paradise
Wave goodbye to Byron as today you make your way to Surfers Paradise on the stunning Gold Coast. Check into your central hostel for 2 nights before heading out to explore the town. We're talking stunning beaches, towering skyscrapers and some of the country's best nightlife.
Day 6 - Free day/Overnight in Surfers Paradise
Today you have a full day to explore Surfers. This could be your perfect opportunity to hit the waves and put your new found surfing skills to the test. Otherwise, there are heaps of local shops to explore, secluded spots to work on your tan or hipster cafes with the best views in town.
Day 7 - Bus to Noosa/Overnight Noosa
Wave goodbye to the Gold Coast and hello to the darling of the Sunshine Coast, Noosa! Check into your hostel for 2 nights then treat yourself to a drink at one of the many cafes that boast stunning coastal views. The best way to experience Noosa is to kick back and go with the flow. We're talking lazy afternoon drinks, sunset beach walking and all the other good stuff.
Day 8 - Free day - Overnight Noosa
Take a stroll along the waterfront, opt for an Everglades tour or simply wander through the shops, stuffed full of charm. Today is yours to explore!
Day 9 - Bus to Rainbow Beach/Overnight Rainbow Beach
Check out of your hostel and make your way to Rainbow Beach. Check into your hostel and get yourself comfortable with the relaxed pace of life here.
Day 10 - Safety briefing for Fraser Island at 4pm/Overnight Rainbow Beach
This morning is yours to explore! Why not catch the morning sun over Carlo Sand Blow? Soak in the views and kick back and relax; you've got a couple of big days to come! This afternoon, you will attend your compulsory safety briefing to prepare you for your next couple of days driving 4x4s across stunning Fraser Island!
Day 11 - 3 day/2 Night Fraser Island 4WD camping tour
Rise and shine, at 9.30am you depart for Fraser Island! Drive approx 10 minutes to the barge (ferry) and board for your 10-minute barge crossing. Once you have arrived on the world's biggest sand island, you then drive for 1 hour to the Eurong resort along 75 Mile beach - Fraser Island's own highway with speed limits! From here is when the big adventure begins as you drive to the famous Lake McKenzie - arguably the most popular and picturesque highlight of Fraser! Here, stop for some lunch, and for some quality time to have a play in the amazingly clear waters with your new found friends! Around 3pm you drive up the beach to your campsite, for an early dinner and some well-deserved drinks and fun!
Day 12 - 3 day/2 Night Fraser Island 4WD camping tour
Get up in the morning for a quick breakfast before you begin your busiest day on Fraser Island. First, head off to see Eli Creek, a beautifully clear creek perfect for a relaxing swim. Travelling north you then stop at Maheno shipwreck for some photos and short history lesson about this famous Fraser Island icon. Shortly after, travel up to Indian Head, Fraser Island's highest point. From here you may be lucky enough to see whales and sharks in the ocean, before you travel to Champagne pools for a dip! In the afternoon, travel back to camp for dinner and drinks.
Day 13 - 3 day/2 Night Fraser Island 4WD camping tour/Overnight Rainbow Beach
Start with breakfast, then drive to the beginning of the Lake Wabby walk, where you walk through the sand dunes to this tropical paradise! Lunch follows your trip to Lake Wabby, before you begin your drive down the beach heading back to the barge. Once back on the mainland, head back to the 4WD shed where you unpack and quickly clean the cars. Tonight, enjoy a well-deserved rest in Rainbow Beach before checking out in the morning.
Day 14 - Overnight bus to Airlie Beach
Tonight, pack your bags as you board your overnight bus to iconic Airlie Beach.
Day 15 - Arrive Airlie Beach/Overnight in Airlie Beach
Arrive bright and early in Airlie and check into your hostel for 2 nights. Today is yours free to Airlie this tropical paradise. Tonight, you can find out for yourself by Airlie nightlife is just so famous...
Day 16 - 2 day/2 Night Whitsundays Sailing Adventure
Today you're heading out to the Whitsundays! Board your vessel at Abel Point Marina where you'll be taken to your first snorkel location - no time to waste! As you head to one of the northern islands of the Whitsunday Islands you will cross Whitsunday Passage and pass the Mole group of islands before arriving at Hook or Hayman Island. Once you're at your first location its time to take the plunge into the blue tropical waters and get to see what the Great Barrier Reef is really about. After the snorkelling has finished its back on board for a cold beer and some sunset snacks whilst you cruise to your overnight anchorage. After dinner the crew will invite you to view an eco slide show, showing you some photos of what you may see and observe underwater and also pictures that have been taken whilst that day. Look out after dark for shooting stars or sit on the back deck and watch the fish swim in and out of our underwater blue lights.
Day 17 - 2 day/2 Night Whitsundays Sailing Adventure
After breakfast, you will be taken to the magnificent Whitehaven Beach where you will be able to explore the beautiful white silica sands of Whitehaven. You will be taken on a short bush walk to the lookout where you will be able to overlook the entire beach and the inlet and view it in its finest glory. After Whitehaven beach its back onboard for a sail to two more different snorkel sites. Another great opportunity to explore the reefs of the Whitsunday Islands.
Day 18 - 2 day/2 Night Whitsundays Sailing Adventure/Overnight Airlie Beach
After breakfast, it’s the final splash at another new snorkel site. It’s your last chance to see the amazing underwater world of the Whitsunday Islands before you make the journey back to Airlie Beach.
Day 19 - Bus to Townsville, ferry to Magnetic Island/Overnight Magnetic Island
Check out of your hostel and make your way to Townsville where you will meet up with the ferry that will take you to Magnetic Island for the next 2 days.
Day 20 - Free day - Overnight in Magnetic Island
Today is yours free to explore. There's plenty to do on the island, but our personal favourite is to do nothing...kick back and relax. Once you soak in the views of the aqua water and swaying palm trees, you'll know exactly what we're talking about.
Day 21 - Ferry to Townsville, bus to Cairns/Overnight Cairns
Check out of your hostel and board your ferry back to Townsville where you will continue onto the adventure capital of Australia - Cairns. Check into your hostel where you'll be staying for the next week and then head out to explore. As well as stunning views and being stuffed full of adventure activities, Cairns is also a huge party town so get ready for tonight. The best way to say hello to Cairns is to hit the town.
Day 22 - 1 Day Great Barrier Reef Cruise/Overnight Cairns
It's here. The day you've been waiting for. Today, you're heading out onto the big blue to explore the Great Barrier Reef. Today you get to explore 2 stunning reef sites; Upolu Cay and the 'Wonder Wall' on the Outer Edge of Upolu Reef. You're treated to 6 full hours exploring the reef with plenty of snorkelling and diving opportunities, awesome lunch and knowledgeable eco-guides.
Day 23 - 1 Day trip to Cape Tribulation & Daintree/Overnight Cairns
Spend the day visiting the Oldest living Rainforest in the world! This tour will show all of the highlights that the Daintree and Cape Tribulation have to offer, you will even get to dine on Cape Trib Beach. Meet with one of the Indigenous owners of Mossman Gorge and learn about local traditions all while soaking in there stunning views of the surrounding rainforest! This afternoon you'll return to Cairns where you'll spend the night.
Day 24 - Check out, trip ends
This morning you will check out of your hostel where your trip will officially end. Don't cry! There's plenty more of Australia to explore.

Please note there is a $20 levy to be paid on arrival for Fraser Island. This is quoted in your total price but must be paid directly to the suppliers on the day of your tours.
